Beeswax Tapered Candles. A pair of tapered candles by our longtime supplier, Moorlands. £8.99 for a pair. Our beeswax dinner candles are produced by a local candlemaker with whom we have been working for almost 40 years. We love these, and you can practically smell the honey.

A little about Ted, our lovely candle supplier. The firm he founded, Moorlands Candles, has produced candles using the "hand-dipped" method since 1981. Mainly supplying wholesalers and retailers, their products can be sold in Gift Shops, Craft Galleries and Wholefood Shops in most parts of the country. You may have seen their specially produced candles in films or on television in period dramas.

While they continue to use paraffin wax for the range of colours that can be produced by that method, they also offer a range of beautiful natural beeswax candles. They are increasingly using sustainable beeswax from Africa and the U.K.
